Automotive Air Suspension Spring Debugging Points

Nowadays, many modification enthusiasts like to add air suspension spring system when they modify their cars. On the one hand, it can improve the comfort of the vehicle, on the other hand, it can also attract the attention of others. So what kind of debugging does it take to install a car air spring?

In order to ensure the normal work of the air spring, the necessary debugging must be carried out. The debugging control points are as follows:

1. Position the guide arm, air bag support, C-beam and other suspension components on the axle and tighten them, and control the errors in strict accordance with the drawings and installation process.

2. When the suspension part of the axle is assembled on the frame, it is necessary to ensure the correct positioning of the axle, meet the positioning requirements of the front axle and the wheelbase requirements of the main engine factory, and install the adjustment gasket when the tolerance is exceeded. Adjust the length of the adjustable stinger, etc. In order to avoid frequent adjustment of gaskets during batch assembly, the precise position of the connection points of the suspension guide mechanism (such as stinger support and guide arm mounting holes on the frame) should be strictly controlled during frame assembly. Welding.

3. After the suspension is assembled and the air bag is inflated, the suspension height should be controlled within the design height of A±5mm (usually the installation height of the air bag assembly can also be measured).

4. All installation fasteners shall be tightened according to the specified torque. If there are more than two fasteners in a set, tighten at the specified torque and repeat the tightening torque once.

5. When charging and exhausting, the height valve should work normally. There is no movement interference between the yaw and vertical adjusting rod of the height valve and the frame.

6. When the airbag is completely exhausted, there is an appropriate gap between the tire and the bottom of the vehicle and any other parts. The same applies if the front wheel hits the left or right limit position.
